Frederike has been using her camera as a tool of expression since her teens. As a female photographer with a queer gaze, she approaches photography as a language of identity and connection, a way to imagine a more colorful, inclusive world. Her work is defined by vibrant colors, empathy and boldness, moving between the loud and the subtle, the documentary and the fictional always tender at its core.
After graduating from design school, Frederike worked for several years as a lecturer, photo editor and art director in music and pop culture - experiences that gave her a strong conceptual foundation, while her photography has always remained spontaneous, guided by curiosity and intuition. For her, photography is not only about the final image, but about creating moments of freedom, joy and empowerment.
